Do you feel that the current situation and its effect on your daily life are making it difficult for you to think about anything else? Perhaps you notice that your body feels tight or tense, or that it’s hard to sleep at night, as it feels so difficult to switch off?
Do you have a new or ongoing health problem that you can’t stop thinking about, that is perhaps causing you to feel more worried or vulnerable?
I offer an empathic, non-judgemental, confidential and safe space for you to talk freely about the things that are troubling you, working together at your pace, to help support you in coping better day today, enabling you to feel more resilient, more relaxed (when you are tense in your head you hold that tension somewhere in your body), and feel that you are able to smile again.
As well as anxiety and health-related issues, I work with other concerns, for example low mood/depression, which is often linked with anxiety, bereavement and low self esteem.
I work integratively, (bringing in different theories, such as person-centred, CBT, mindfulness) through training and experience, enabling a more flexible, immediate response to clients' concerns.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and fully adhere to their Ethical Framework, ensuring that I offer a professional service to clients, fully respecting client autonomy.
I offer counselling online as well as some availability for face to face sessions in my socially distanced, ventilated therapy room.
For any clients preferring face to face counselling, I kindly request a lateral flow test prior to the session, mask is optional.
