Basic contact details are taken from each client at the first appointment, and a Counsellor/Hypnotherapist - Client agreement is signed. In the agreement, it is specified that sessions are of the utmost confidentiality and that client notes are safely kept in a locked cabinet, within a locked room.
In accordance with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I respect each client's dignity and privacy and fully protect any information given.
As required by the BACP, I attend monthly clinical supervision, however, client identity is never disclosed.
The above information applies to hypnotherapy clients also, in accordance with the General Hypnotherapy Register's Code of Ethics. Supervision will continue via Zoom during the Covid-19 outbreak.
My practice as a Counsellor and Hypnotherapist is covered by indemnity insurance for both face to face and online work.
I am registered with ico.org.uk in adherence to GDPR.
